The EasyAccess PDF product is an applicative software package that provides a solution for converting existing PDF format documents into accessible documents. This solution reads the existing document and makes it automatically accessible according to the definitions regarding document accessibility and according to the Acrobat Accessible PDF 1.7 standard.
The solution is focused solely on making existing documents accessible, and that is one of the reasons it is very simple to operate. The user can preview and examine the result of the automatic conversion with the Composedoc application viewer and with Adobe Acrobat, on a PDF document that the system creates for display and examination purposes.
The automatic solution brings the level of accessibility to 70%-100% of the requirements (depending on the complexity of the document) and includes simple graphic tools (editor) that enable the user to examine and edit the automatic conversion results (the accessible document) and improve the level of accessibility as necessary.
The Composedoc solution handles all types of content elements relevant for accessibility including: titles, clauses, lists, tables, and images. An accessible PDF format document that can be read by a screen reader is obtained at the end of the process.
In the case that following the automated accessibility stage it is necessary to improve the accessibility level of the document, we estimate the general time for examining and amending the documents to be a very few minutes per page (depending on the complexity of the document).
